It rained most of the day today. Dad & I went to the bank to deposit some money for Travis and of course they're closed because of Columbus Day. Now don't get me wrong, Christopher Columbus was a great explorer but c'mon! He didn't even discover America he landed in San Salvador! So why does the government take a day off for him? So they can get another day off is what I think.

Anyways, I'm trying to do a one time blog and post to all my blogs so we'll see how this works! New Twilight picture included :)

Seven very random facts about me that you may have not known:

1. One of my most precious memories of my Grandpa was when we spent two weeks at their house & we were out in the garden. He pulled a radish out of the ground, whipped his pocket knife out, cut the ends of it off and handed it to me. You should’ve seen his face when I actually ate it.
2. My worst injury was when I decided to show the boys in my neighborhood that girls could do anything they could do and I jumped a bike off a ramp. Long story short I super-maned through the air and I had road rash on my arms and legs. BTW I was supposed to be grounded when I did it.
3. My Grandpa Porter used to come to our house for Christmas & on his birthday (the 23rd) mom would make him oysters. I use to hate the smell. He died in ‘01, now sometimes smell oysters baking on his birthday.
4. I was the first college graduate in my immediate family, 2nd in my family total.
5. My dad made me quit girls scouts in first grade b/c the troop leader cheated on the cookie sales b/c she wanted her daughter to win.
6. I once got poison ivy/oak so bad that it got into my eyes and they swelled shut.
7. I was the first college graduate in my immediate family, 2nd in my family total.

Seven of my favorite smells:

1. Fresh cut grass.
2. Old spice.
3. Cinnamon rolls cooking.
4. Winter mornings.
5. The smell right before it rains.
6. Burning sweet grass.
7. Garlic bread.

Beethoven and I are outside enjoying the weather. He decided to roll around in the grass.
