What was your biggest cooking disaster?

In 8th grade Home Ec we were making meringue pies & my group had finished making it, I went to put it into the oven when disaster struck. Someone else from my group was holding the oven door when I went to put it on a shelf in the oven when he let the door go. That wouldn't have been a problem had the oven door not been spring loaded. The door came up and hit my forearms which in turned made me flip the pie into the hot oven. Lets just say it made a huge mess & the teacher was extremely upset.

Who was the meanest teacher you had in school?

Definitely Mrs. Merando, she was my 8th grade math teacher. She was a strict teacher in the classroom but she was really sweet outside of it. I wouldn't necessarily consider her "mean" but she was strict for sure.

How are you spending this Memorial Day? How will it differ from Memorial Days past?

We always barbecue but this year Amanda & Cadin are coming up to barbecue with us and my brother won't be here. Lets hope the rain stays away to let us barbecue tho.

I'd live in South Dakota :) I love that state. Dad and I went there last year on a road trip and you couldn't ask for a more beautiful place to be. The fires are scary of course, but the mixture of wildlife and amazing country side is fabulous.

I know I haven't blogged in a few days but hi! It's been a crazy few days of reading. I tend to get absorbed and then nothing gets done :) lol. I'm three books into J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I just finished, and it's my 2nd favorite so far.

What do you bring most to a friendship?

Honesty. No ifs ands or buts about it I will always tell you the truth no matter what.

Today was kind of a down day. I didn't & don't really feel quite that well. My back hurts, I stretched and it popped and wowsas! It hurt all day. Plus it was cold & rainy so that put a damper on everything. Dad goes to his pre-op meeting tomorrow, so we have to drive over to KUMED center in the afternoon. Hopefully that won't take too long & we'll miss afternoon rush hour. *Crosses fingers*
