This will be a few days posts in one, so you're forwarned!

Saturday:

WAS THE TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA CONCERT. Yes yes, no more caps. I was to pick Amanda up at noon & as soon as I headed out the door I was concerned. You see it was raining. We were forecasted to have "flurries" ha yea right. I pick up Amanda and we head to Jose Peppers to eat some lunch before the concert. As we're driving there I notice that the rain is changing to snow. UGH. The good news is that dad had purchased insurance for my car the day before :) We get to Jose's and dad texts Amanda saying it's supposed to do this all night long. I'm trying to stay positive but I really don't want to have to leave the concert early. It was downtown Kansas City at the Sprint Center & I love TSO. We'd left in plenty of time so we just take our time going to the Sprint Center and we got there about 2:30 and it didn't start until 3.

We got in the souvenir line & I bought dad some drum sticks and myself a T-Shirt. Amanda ended up getting a ornament. We made our way to our seats after a bathroom break of course and settled in to enjoy the show. We went the first time in 2006 and we had floor seats. Well all we really got to see was the lights and not a whole lot more. This year Amanda got seats in the first raised section off of the floor & they were amazing. You could see so much more from there than our other seats. Of course the show was fantastic! They even played a new song called Enchanted Night that's going to be on their new cd (Night Castle) and of course it sounded phenomenal. The only problems we had were that the lady beside Amanda who had bathed in old lady perfume kept huffing when people clapped which I still don't get & that I got sick in the middle of the concert.

Keep in mind that I don't do well with strong smells. The old lady sitting beside us really did bath in perfume it was beyond anything you could imagine. That alone didn't make me sick it was the addition of the coconut hand sanitizer that the lady in front of us used after going to the bathroom. The two combined made me extremely nauseous and I had to run for the bathroom. HOWEVER the guy who was with Mrs. Perfume didn't want to get up so I practically had to sit in his lap to get by him. I was very annoyed because I was trying not to get sick on him.

When the concert was over we made our way to the parking garage where we proceeded to spend an hour sitting in the exact same spot waiting for the line to move. I kid you not we didn't move an inch for an hour. Twenty four minutes later we were out of the parking garage and headed home. After a quick stop at a convenience store to get some drinks since Amanda's blood sugar dropped & a pervo eye balling Amanda's ladies as she asked to use the restroom we were headed home for real. The weather cooperated and it was a mix of rain & snow the rest of the way home but it wasn't very slick.

You're not allowed to take pictures at the Trans-Siberian Orchestra & they're very strict about enforcing the rules so here's a video of my favorite song to enjoy if you don't know who they are or if you enjoy their stuff!!

“Twilight” hasn’t hit theaters yet, but that doesn’t mean Summit Entertainment isn’t thinking well beyond the big-screen debut of Stephenie Meyer’s beloved vampire-romance novels. The Hollywood Reporter announced today that Summit has acquired the rights to the next three books in Meyer’s series, “New Moon,” “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn.” Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who adapted “Twilight,” will pen the scripts for “New Moon” and “Eclipse,” while a writer has yet to be named for “Breaking Dawn.”

This means that Rosenberg will have to do a lot of reading in the near future, as THR reports that the screenwriter refused to read ahead in the series when she was adapting “Twilight.” With that in mind, one has to wonder what Rosenberg would say about tonight’s premiere of the new MTV movies show “Spoilers” (airing tonight at 7:30 PM EST on MTV) which promises to include some never-before-seen looks at the “Twilight” movie, among other high-profile previews.

According to THR, Summit is looking to build itself a film franchise with Meyer’s series — which, in what is certainly not news to many readers here, has a fan following to rival any property out there these days. (Heck, even President-Elect Obama is a “Twilight” fan.)"

Between Dad giving me my necklace for my Birthday and this I'm on cloud nine!!

It rained most of the day today. Dad & I went to the bank to deposit some money for Travis and of course they're closed because of Columbus Day. Now don't get me wrong, Christopher Columbus was a great explorer but c'mon! He didn't even discover America he landed in San Salvador! So why does the government take a day off for him? So they can get another day off is what I think.

Anyways, I'm trying to do a one time blog and post to all my blogs so we'll see how this works! New Twilight picture included :)
